The ARM processor architecture provides significant advantages over older MIPS-based devices. All ports are now Gigabit Ethernet ports. The first port has a PoE input. You can use it instead of a DC socket to power your device. The last port has PoE-Out to power other devices. Another helpful addition is SFP that supports both Gigabit and 2.5 Gigabit connectivity.
