NMC network adapter for POWERLINE RT PLUS 6/10
The NMC Network Card allows remote management of the UPS via a local, internal (Intranet) network or remotely via the Internet. UPS control and service can be carried out via SNMP agents, the HTTP website interface, or the Telnet terminal.
The NMC Network Card is connected via the RJ-45 connector directly to the local network. This is done without taking up serial ports and without having to use separate management programs for each power supply. Thanks to the applied security system, access to parameters and control of the UPS takes place from any computer, provided that the correct password is given for reading. In this way, the administrator of the company's Ethernet network can quickly respond to current needs - related to guaranteed power supply - from anywhere in the company.
In the situation when the PSU output is in an abnormal state or other events occurred, the management card allows for safe shutdown of the operating system on the server or workstation, thanks to the cooperation with the SPS (System Protect Software) program, which can be installed on different operating systems. The system may be shut down in the event of such events as: incorrect PSU output status, low battery, overload or overheating of the PSU, schedule shutdown, etc. The user can choose the conditions that will cause the management card to inform the SPS about the event, and the SPS securely closes the operating system according to the settings.
